Flemish congress for Mental healthcare by the Flemish Union for Psychiatry?

Thanks to the increasing research initiated by 15 Minutes 4 Me, 15 Minutes 4 Me was at the Flemish congress for Mental Healthcare by the Flemish Union for Psychiatry. These congresses every time propose recent scientific research, giving professionals the chance to come into contact with these studies.
15 Minutes 4 Me, too, contributed to proposal of new research at the Flemish congress for Mental Healthcare by the Flemish Union for Psychiatry. After the descriptive research regarding the improvement of the average participant in the program, a study now starts to compare the improvement in the program to standard help. From the past study, it was discovered that:

  1. The median of the participants reaches a normal (0-30) value within 3 weeks. This means that most participants can function in a healthy way again after having followed the online self-help program 15 Minutes 4 Me for 3 weeks.
  2. The test-scores on average reduce by half within the 3 weeks. This means that we reduce symptoms of depression, stress, and anxiety in most people by half after 3 weeks of following the online self-help program 15 Minutes 4 Me.

Thanks to these promising results, which were proposed on the Flemish congress for Mental Healthcare by the Flemish Union for Psychiatry, we want to research whether the online self-help program 15 Minutes 4 Me could work as an effective alternative for waiting list patients. If you look for help, chances namely are that you must wait for a few months. In order to respond to these demands for help and to hand both patients and professionals an extra tool, we research the effectively of the program as compared to the waiting list groups in standard care.

Participation in research?

Just like during the Flemish congress for Mental Healthcare by the Flemish Union for Psychiatry, we are still looking for participants. Do you have patients on waiting lists or in guidance who would be suitable for randomized research on participation versus control group, then we would like to cooperate. Contact Paul Koeck, MD: zelfhulp@MijnKwartier.be, 03 237 98 98

Free self-test?

Furthermore, anyone can make free use of the self-test, which you can find on the website by 15 Minutes 4 Me. This test is used in the program as well as research in order to give a valid and trustworthy representation of the symptoms which someone experiences.
