When you hear your alarm go off in the morning, there are but a few people who enjoy getting up. But what if the tiredness persists? What causes us to remain tired? Or why do we have so much trouble falling asleep, while this did not use to be a problem in the past? This article first of all shows some alarm signals of tiredness, lets  you know possible causes, as well as what to do about it.

Tiredness: symptoms

There is a difference between being tired sometimes when you get up and being in a constant state of tiredness. When you sleep poorly, it can be so that, even after long nights, you find it difficult to feel rested. You are in an almost constant tired phase. No matter what you do, the feeling of tiredness does not go away. You know that tiredness is starting to have a large influence on your life when you notice that it is starting to hinder your daily activities. You find it difficult to focus, or you find it hard to remember certain things. You forget to go to the store, and everything becomes overwhelming. You have the feeling that you are never really present and that you are on autopilot throughout your day.

Tiredness: causes

Oftentimes, tiredness starts with a lack of sleep or sleeping poorly. This can have different causes. In many cases, it starts with stress. Stress namely causes a physical reaction, which gets our body ready for action. This makes it difficult to relax and to fall asleep. Furthermore, depression, for example, can also have an influence. People with depression worry a lot, which causes their brain to enter some type of overdrive. We pressure our brain so much, that they find it difficult to relax. This can make it so that you do not get any rest, and that you therefore cannot fall asleep, either.
