This book will help you to understand and explain what is going on with you at times in which you end up in a whirlwind of worrying, tension, or negativity. By understanding the scientific way in which stress works, you will understand how to break out of your of vicious cycle or how you can help a close friend or loved one with this.

As a doctor, the author noticed that this fundamental explanation of the working mechanism of stress helps many patients to look at their problem from a clearer point of view. As a result thereof they found it easier to see the relativity of things, and get out of the vicious cycle. This experience is one which he wanted to share with a broader public via this book.

De auteur

Paul Koeck, MD followed his youth dream and passion to discover how you can help people to change so they can reach their goal: building up a happy and successful life, both privately and professionally. That is why he first studied medicine, philosophy, and sports medicine at the Catholic University Louvain, followed by an MBA at the Vlerick School for Management and several completed courses in, among others, cognitive solution focused therapy, systematic therapy and coaching, and Ericksonian hypnotherapy.
